Notable Note 6: The Kearny Nuclear Fallout Meter

While nuclear blasts are not high on our worry list, this is an interesting tidbit we stumbled upon recently.
The Kearny Fallout Meter is a DIY fallout radiation meter designed by Cresson Kearny, a researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
While it looks like an elementary school crafts project it works on a very simple principle and has been tested to be accurate considering.
